THE DAY AFTER
So, how did your team fair? Auburn thumped 'Bama, which was to be expected. I'm still amazed that Auburn was up 14-0 after only running three offensive plays. Congratulations to Michigan. I was surprised that they let OSU make it as close as they did though. USC did what was expected, and the Duck's won this year's Civil War. I don't remember what happened with Cal & Stanford, but there was no band involved (unless you count those Pontiac commercials), so it didn't matter. And, yes, my beloved Coug's bit the big one.
Don't know if it was a good game because out here in Big 10/11 land you can't see anything west of the Mississippi. For those of you wondering, yes I picked WSU on this very site, but if I had had any money I would've put it all on the huskies. Being a Coug fan this long it's just something you live with -- that pessimistic feeling that no matter how good they are, or how they should win because they've got the chance to both go to a BCS bowl game AND humiliate the huskies, it's all that much more certain that they will coug it. For the unitiated, "couging it," "coug'd it," or "coug it" all mean the same thing -- to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. So now, instead of a BCS invite, they'll be lucky to be playing in the Weedeater Bowl. Look for the Cougs to play in a game before December 20th.
Wonder how the EpiscoVol would see this? "Faith means coming back to root for your team no matter how much your brain says they don't deserve it."
Peace

A Few Words About Comments
Comments are always welcome here, but there are a few things you should know:
1) If you comment, leave a name. If you can't figure out how to log in or register or whatever the system is making you do (which, believe me, I fully understand how frustrating that can be) and you must comment anonymously . . . leave a name in the comment section. Purely anonymous comments will be deleted.
2) Comments I deem to be offensive, irrelevant, or generally trollish will be deleted. I'm mainly talking to the Akurians here. Don't make me get out my flag!
3) If you would like to receive e-mail notification of other comments so you can more easily follow a conversation (yeah, like I ever have those on this blog), you must register with Blogger. Sorry . . . I didn't have anything to do with that one.
Enjoy the game.
