1000

What are the odds?

Without even trying, with no forethought, no planning, no intentionality on my part whatsoever, my one thousandth post was a sermon.

Go figure.

On this current format, (I think I changed at some point, or maybe I didn't and this system only remembers back to a certain day), I've been blogging since late November of 2003.

How long did it take you to get to 1000?

Todd, I'm overwhelmed by your words. You express that which is very similar to my own feelings. This past Sunday, my own sermon focused upon acceptance of those whom we see as different. How is it that we feel a need to judge others? Jesus accepts the woman at the well for who she is. Is that not what we are to do as Christians? Your questions challenge the very fiber of our faith. Christianity is not about competition, but as you say, about relationship. Thank you for your very elegant words. Exceptionally approprite for a 1000th blog. I'm glad I read it!

Todd--

I know this doesn't have much to do with the topic at hand, but I hope to shout you're watching "Class C" tonight. I'd drop you an email, but I don't have your addy. I'd sure like to hear your thoughts on it.

You have my address, should the spirit move you.

(BTW, I think I hit 1,000 pretty quick, but the next 1,000 took twice as long...)

Dawn:

Um . . . yeah . . . I've often wondered what you actually DO for a living. Seems to me you get paid to blog.

Well . . . that and keep us informed on the Red Sox.

;-)

Because I have a New England work ethic (everything needs to be done *last* week up there), when you stick me in the South (where people move at a snail's pace), I get my work done at lightning speed. Which means I pretty much work for the first 90 minutes of my day & the last 90 minute of my day. The five hours in the middle all I am really doing most days is answering a phone. So I "multitask". ;-) I work for a very small company & they are really laid back here. As long as I get my work done & answer the phone, they don't care if I play online all day long -- as long as I am not going anywhere inappropriate, which of course I am not! Every once in a while I will have a project that requires more of my time & attention but that's the exception to the rule.
