It Was 40 Years Ago Today . . .

No, Sgt. Pepper didn't teach the band to play (for OCD types, that was more like 42 years ago).

But 40 years ago today, for the first time in the history of the world, humanity could actually see the world.

And God said, "Let the waters under the sky be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear." And it was so. God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good. (Gen. 1:9-10)

How do we see Earth? Is it "good" in our eyes?

How do we see those who inhabit it? Are they "good" in our eyes?

This is what God has done, and it is good. Can we treat it and those who inhabit it any less?

Merry Christmas.

I think the important thing is that God saw the it was 'good', not perfect...but good. Travel safe, enjoy your family time...
