Palm Sunday

Today went very well, I thought. Despite missing two families, we still had 20 people at service in Sheridan, and we had 15 up in VC . . . restaurants and churches, you never can plan for the numbers. We also had three visitors in VC who might possibly be back -- two of them a young couple with a little baby.

The weather here was absolutely gorgeous, so we didn't have to worry about processing with palms in the rain. The reading of the Passion went well; and despite my in-laws griping about not getting to hear me preach, both services were everything Palm and Passion Sunday should be.

We welcomed and hailed our King.

We shouted, "Crucify him!"

Communion was properly somber.

And we will prepare for the rest of Holy Week.

It was a good day.
