Some light reading

So here's what I've been perusing lately:

The horse-collar tackle has been added to the list of illegal personal contact fouls in high school football. The penalty will be 15 yards from the succeeding spot.

A maximum of three coaches may be in the restricted area to communicate with players during dead-ball situations. Before the ball becomes live, however, the coaches must retreat into the team box.

“The definition of a scrimmage-kick formation was clarified to differentiate formations that have been used traditionally for attempting a field goal or kick try from those used for a punt,” Colgate said. “In addition, the circumstances under which the numbering exception can be utilized have been changed to clarify what can be done on first, second, third and fourth downs.”

There are others, but I'm sure you don't really care about the stripes on the ball being perpendicular to the seam, or the fact that penalties that result in safeties will not result in an untimed extension of the period.

Now, if I could just get some consistency in the weather, and be home on a regular basis, I can start running in preparation for the season.

You have fun with that. Me... I think I'll go look for something written in English.
