GRASPING AT STRAWS

As you know, I am the vicar of two very small parishes (the link is over there on the right). Financially we could be better off. So we decided to take a shot at . . . um . . . offering the opportunity for people around the world to donate to these parishes.

A PayPal system has been set up (with many thanks to my real system administrator, Bruce), so now people can donate, or pledge, using their credit card from anywhere.

My thought on this was, "It can't hurt. The worst we can do is zero, and that's where we are now."

Grasping at straws indeed. We'll see what happens.

Huh... it never occured to me we could do that through PayPal. It'd be awesome to be able to take credit card payments...
