BUMMER
Well, in the language of WSU fans everywhere, "They Coug'd it." I didn't see the whole game, but the minute I saw that the ESPN guru's were picking WSU over Colorado I KNEW that the Cougs would lose. Just one of those things. It's like a sixth sense, or perpetual pessimism. Expect the worst. And if they win, hey, all the better.
They didn't look all that great last week. We'll see if this loss can galvanize the team and maybe a winning/bowl season will be our reward.
On the plus side, the Seahawks are off to a good start. They could go far this year.
And, if you like underdogs, check out Fresno State. I'd be scared if I were playing them.
And to Susie -- tough break. I never expected ND to get past UM. Sorry 'bout that.
I also watched the Miami - FSU game. That was a thriller to be sure. The Kid was watching it with me and she was pulling for Miami. As she went to bed, she made the comment that there was no way Miami would win. When I told her that they had won in OT, she exclaimed, "It's a miracle! I don't believe it."
Ah yes, football is back and all is right with the world.

A Few Words About Comments
Comments are always welcome here, but there are a few things you should know:
1) If you comment, leave a name. If you can't figure out how to log in or register or whatever the system is making you do (which, believe me, I fully understand how frustrating that can be) and you must comment anonymously . . . leave a name in the comment section. Purely anonymous comments will be deleted.
2) Comments I deem to be offensive, irrelevant, or generally trollish will be deleted. I'm mainly talking to the Akurians here. Don't make me get out my flag!
3) If you would like to receive e-mail notification of other comments so you can more easily follow a conversation (yeah, like I ever have those on this blog), you must register with Blogger. Sorry . . . I didn't have anything to do with that one.
Enjoy the game.
