NEW FAMILY ADDITION

We are expecting a new girl into our little family of three.

Now before you all get carried away, she's a foreign exchange student from Brazil and will be staying with us next school semester.

This was . . . unexpected. We had said we would take one this summer, but only if the child was a girl (since the student would have to room with The Kid). At that time, there were only male students that needed a place to stay. So I thought I was off the hook.

Apparently the program director remembered that we'd take a female, and she's been assigned to us. This means we need to get something for her to sleep on, budget for extra food and Lord knows what else. I'm not terribly enthused about it, but then again, I don't handle change very well.

At least I didn't feel the need to get drunk, like when Mrs. Ref told me she was pregant 13 years ago.

Congratulations! By now you know that God works in strange ways and in spite of not liking change, this will be a good thing! When does she arrive?

Hang loose there Rev, this could easily turn out to be an amazing event in your life. Exchange students can be wonderful additions to the family and life changing events. So trust in the big Ref in the sky!
Peace

This sounds like FUN! Think how amazingly different and interesting Montana will be for this young woman!

One thought - she is going to be COLD! Brrr... Montana in autumn...
