BASKETBALL

Okay, this really isn't my thing. Basically I have always thought that basketball was played by guys who couldn't handle hockey.

However, the college season is upon us. As you may recall from years past (there's a strange feeling to saying that), when we were in seminary, far from home, one of the things that kept us sane was being able to follow the Gonzaga Bulldogs. Over the course of my three year exile in Chicagoland, I (hate to admit it) actually started liking the game. Not enough to follow it as much as football, and certainly not enough to run out and buy a pair of black slacks and a pocketless striped shirt, but enough that I could tolerate watching it . . . sometimes.

Well, GU is back on the hardwood. They are currently ranked #8 in nation and are having a ball over in Hawaii. Oh -- I mentioned this to Mark, and he didn't even know there was a tournament going on. ISH. So anyway, back on track here, they are playing in the Maui Invitational. They beat Maryland today -- YEAH -- and will take on Michigan State tomorrow.

Sorry Heather, but . . . GO ZAGS!
