A DAY IN THE LIFE

So today I was the good diocesan priesty boy and went to the priesting of a guy I met at last diocesan convention. It was in Billings. Not that Billings is a bad place, but ....

I left the house at 8. Pulled into the church parking lot at noon. I needed to stop for gas once, and directions once. Billings has a very odd layout.

The service went from roughly 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.

I left the church at 3 and arrived at my front door at 6:30 (I didn't get lost).

Then my vestry meeting at 7.

My dietary intake consisted of Apple Jacks for breakfast with a glass of orange juice (part of a nutritious breakfast according to the commercials), a glass of Sobe strawberry-banana Lizard Juice and a bag of Dolly Madison donoughts (nothing says "roadtrip" like a drink and donoughts), a piece of cake, a few mints and several cashew nuts at the reception, a Subway sandwich for dinner, and a bowl of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream for dessert.

I am now going to bed.
