MAYBE IT IS A MONTANA THING

I have a friend who is convinced that Montanans don't know how to spell. She seems to be concerned about this because her son will start school here in Montana this coming fall.

I tried to reassure her that it wasn't really Montana, but maybe the individual.

Examples include e-mails to her talking about the "milled winter" in Montana this year. Or the "store a crossed the street." Or any number of other examples that I've currently forgotten.

But when I received a parish newsletter (from an un-named parish) that referenced the Sunday bullitin, I began to wonder.

And then, on our recent drive to Washington, I saw the following road sign:

"Seatbelts save lifvs"

Hmmm .... maybe it is a Montana thing.
