I received a comment on my last post from someone I actually know (well, you know, other than the usual suspects of Tripp, Mark & Jane).
This person (I'll refrain from stating her name outright as I'm not sure if she really wants the attention -- "I hope nobody finds me" sort of thoughts -- although she did leave a link to her own blog) stumbled across my blog during a Google search.
So I followed the link to her blog and was reading along. I think she's funny in that quick-witted one-line sort of way that people often misunderstand.
Anyway, here's what cracked me up: in trying to find a copy of our diocesan news letter from last month, i accidently found an online blog of the preist in sheridan. he is a quiet guy. except on his live journal.
Her last two sentences made me laugh.

A Few Words About Comments
Comments are always welcome here, but there are a few things you should know:
1) If you comment, leave a name. If you can't figure out how to log in or register or whatever the system is making you do (which, believe me, I fully understand how frustrating that can be) and you must comment anonymously . . . leave a name in the comment section. Purely anonymous comments will be deleted.
2) Comments I deem to be offensive, irrelevant, or generally trollish will be deleted. I'm mainly talking to the Akurians here. Don't make me get out my flag!
3) If you would like to receive e-mail notification of other comments so you can more easily follow a conversation (yeah, like I ever have those on this blog), you must register with Blogger. Sorry . . . I didn't have anything to do with that one.
Enjoy the game.

it's all good. you can specifically mention me, if you'd like. i just had that realization to be a bit more cautious.
I understand the feeling. I had a guy who reads my blog show up at my front door one day. Luckily he's not an axe murderer. (Whit ... if you're reading this, you really are a nice guy ... honest)
It does sort of give you a wake up call though.
And since you've let me specifically mention you, I've given you a link over there on the right. Welcome to the neighborhood.

I guess I have to be since you live practically next door to my Mother-in-law in Dillon.
