I was up early this morning because of an overactive mind. I don't mind dreams, as such, but I do wish that they would come at some other time than 45 minutes before I really want to get out of bed.
Anyway, I was up and got the clan moving. The Kid had her first volleyball match today as an 8th grader. The team is playing much better than last year, and it's great to see the improvement.
They swept the first team they played, 2-0. The next team took a one game lead, but the girls never gave up and came back from six points down to win 27-25. They played a tie breaker, and they pulled that one out also.
After that, I came home and watched some bad football. Somebody was winning 33-0, somebody else was up 27-3 I think, last time I looked ND was winning 41-0, and Montana State (after surprising Div. I Colorado last week) got their collective butts kicked by Div. II Chadron State 35-24. The good news is that Wazzu was trouncing Idaho 49-7 (or something equally outrageous).
In short, there were no good games today -- by "good," I mean "close."
So I went outside and washed all of the soot and ash off the vehicle.
Yeah ... it's been a Saturday. I need to go over my sermon for Sunday here shortly so that I can at least look like I know what I wanted to say.
Oh yeah, that and look at pictures of my nephew who is now six months old.

A Few Words About Comments
Comments are always welcome here, but there are a few things you should know:
1) If you comment, leave a name. If you can't figure out how to log in or register or whatever the system is making you do (which, believe me, I fully understand how frustrating that can be) and you must comment anonymously . . . leave a name in the comment section. Purely anonymous comments will be deleted.
2) Comments I deem to be offensive, irrelevant, or generally trollish will be deleted. I'm mainly talking to the Akurians here. Don't make me get out my flag!
3) If you would like to receive e-mail notification of other comments so you can more easily follow a conversation (yeah, like I ever have those on this blog), you must register with Blogger. Sorry . . . I didn't have anything to do with that one.
Enjoy the game.
