After a busy weekend, I'm trying to re-normalize life.
Convention was busy, as usual, but not bad. It was up in Great Falls. I had never driven there from here, and it was a lovely drive. Lots of curves!
Our conventions are relatively uneventful. We don't have alot of resolutions to consider. We fill most of Saturday with various seminars for people to attend. This year we had seminars on finances, prayer, mission planning, and lay ministry.
Between a couple of seminars, an impromptu meeting amongs clergy of assisted congregations, the business meeting, and conversations late into the night, I was definitely ready to spend Monday in bed.
Unfortunately that didn't/couldn't happen. Sunday night was restless (not to mention depressing what with the Seahawks getting blasted by the Bears). Monday was a full day of recovery, hymn selection, a home communion, prepping for Soup & Scripture tonight, other office stuff and my monthly bar visit to The Mill Creek Tavern.
I slept better last night, and after breakfast took a nap until about 9:45. I'll be in the office later today to start sermon work, a little finalizing of Soup & Scripture and also getting ready for the vestry meeting tonight.
Just a normal day for a not-so-normal guy.

A Few Words About Comments
Comments are always welcome here, but there are a few things you should know:
1) If you comment, leave a name. If you can't figure out how to log in or register or whatever the system is making you do (which, believe me, I fully understand how frustrating that can be) and you must comment anonymously . . . leave a name in the comment section. Purely anonymous comments will be deleted.
2) Comments I deem to be offensive, irrelevant, or generally trollish will be deleted. I'm mainly talking to the Akurians here. Don't make me get out my flag!
3) If you would like to receive e-mail notification of other comments so you can more easily follow a conversation (yeah, like I ever have those on this blog), you must register with Blogger. Sorry . . . I didn't have anything to do with that one.
Enjoy the game.
