KIDS SAY THE DARNDEST THINGS

If you've checked the weather for Montana lately, you'll see that winter seems to have arrived. Compared to this week's single-digit highs, last week's temps in the 20's and 30's seems downright balmy.

The drive home from church last week was simply gorgeous. A little dusting of snow, bright blue skies, the mountains, sunshine . . . it was gorgeous. It was also about 29 degrees outside.

"Dad?"

"Yes?"

"Is the heater on?"

"No."

"Oh . . . well then, can you turn on the air conditioner?"

"WHAT??? I am NOT turning on the air conditioner in the middle of November when it's freezing outside."

I should have rolled down her back window.
