Today is a big day in college football. Locally, it's the Brawl of the Wild (it's an old link, but it'll give you some good history), the 106th meeting of the Montana State Bobcats and the University of Montana Grizzlies. This has some major Div. 1-AA playoff implications (all levels of college football except Div. 1 have a playoff system). This game is being televised here in Montana, so I'll get to watch it.
Today is also the 45th Apple Cup (but 99th meeting), pitting the University of Washington Huskies against the Washington State Cougars.
Other games today include Auburn/Alabama, UNC/NC State, IN/Purdue, IA/MN, KS/KS State, Brown/Columbia and North Dakota State/South Dakota State, and Yale/Harvard.
Oh yeah . . . and there's that little swaree down in Columbus, OH featuring a couple of teams you may have heard of. Buckeyes? Wolverines?
Yeah, something like that.
--------------------------------------
And the Winners Are:
Montana over Montana State .... Auburn over Alabama .... UNC over NC State .... Purdue over Indiana .... Minnesota over Iowa .... Kansas over Kansas State .... Columbia over Brown .... Yale over Harvard .... Ohio over Michigan (sorry, Susie)
UW/WSU and ND/SD are in progress.

A Few Words About Comments
Comments are always welcome here, but there are a few things you should know:
1) If you comment, leave a name. If you can't figure out how to log in or register or whatever the system is making you do (which, believe me, I fully understand how frustrating that can be) and you must comment anonymously . . . leave a name in the comment section. Purely anonymous comments will be deleted.
2) Comments I deem to be offensive, irrelevant, or generally trollish will be deleted. I'm mainly talking to the Akurians here. Don't make me get out my flag!
3) If you would like to receive e-mail notification of other comments so you can more easily follow a conversation (yeah, like I ever have those on this blog), you must register with Blogger. Sorry . . . I didn't have anything to do with that one.
Enjoy the game.
