Not that you would know I was away, but I've just returned from our annual clergy conference. It was held up at our diocesan camp in Way-Far-From-Most Everywhere.
All in all, it was a good few days. I got to see colleagues whom I rarely otherwise see. Our speaker was Bonnie Thurston (you can google her name and get LOADS of information), and she gave several talks about biblical preaching. It was really very good, and (in my opinion) much better than my first clergy conference where she talked about Thomas Merton.
The Hoosiers stopped at our place with a bed frame and box spring, and then the four of us rode up together. So that made the ride up seem not so long.
And now, no time rest. I need to get as much laundry finished as possible because later this morning I'm one of the chaperones for the band as they go over to Anaconda for the annual band competition. I also need to make a quick run to the library and bank. I need to write my sermon for Sunday (thanks to Jane I have that pretty much drafted out, but I need to formalize it). And tomorrow it's off to the Big City for a diocesan workshop at which Mrs. Ref will be giving a presentation on her trip to Belize.
Yep . . . it's been a full week and fuller weekend.

A Few Words About Comments
Comments are always welcome here, but there are a few things you should know:
1) If you comment, leave a name. If you can't figure out how to log in or register or whatever the system is making you do (which, believe me, I fully understand how frustrating that can be) and you must comment anonymously . . . leave a name in the comment section. Purely anonymous comments will be deleted.
2) Comments I deem to be offensive, irrelevant, or generally trollish will be deleted. I'm mainly talking to the Akurians here. Don't make me get out my flag!
3) If you would like to receive e-mail notification of other comments so you can more easily follow a conversation (yeah, like I ever have those on this blog), you must register with Blogger. Sorry . . . I didn't have anything to do with that one.
Enjoy the game.
