Summer

Yes, summer has finally arrived in SW MT. We had a lovely few weeks of spring, a spring/summer T-storm or two, and now summer.

The pool opened on time this year, that was a huge blessing to all the parents of the Ruby Valley. Last year it was late July before it opened. This year things are running according to schedule.

I went with The Kid this evening for a dip. I spent about an hour there before I decided it was time to come home. After all, there's only so much "fun pool activities" I can handle at any one time. Besides that, once the sun drops below the tree line, it gets chilly fast. She still likes doing things with her dad, which is way cool for a soon-to-be 14-year old. And while she was upset I went home early, I promised her I'd go with her at least three times a week throughout the summer.

Summer is a great time. Sheridan has a pool. My daughter still wants to hang out with her dad. She still thinks boys are icky (well, except for one). And she still loves her dad. I know this because she brought me home a Kit Kat bar.
