So I was in Chicago the past few days. It was a wonderful trip. Good friends (Jane & Tripp); a good ordination (Terry); a good family reception (Everyone at St. A's); perfect weather . . . It was one of those times when you realize it's "Good to be alive."
But sometimes I say things that are either unintentionally blunt or just ... well ... they sound good coming out but then you think, "What did he just say??"
I went to dinner Wednesday evening with Jane, Beth, Zeke (new Junior at SWTS) and his wife (who I've forgotten her name, sorry). He is from Ohio, Cleveland I believe, and he wanted to know about life in Montana. At one point, he said, "Doesn't Montana have the lowest population in the U.S.?"
I replied .... "No, that's Wyoming. They have the fewest people per capita of any state in the Union."
Yeah .....

A Few Words About Comments
Comments are always welcome here, but there are a few things you should know:
1) If you comment, leave a name. If you can't figure out how to log in or register or whatever the system is making you do (which, believe me, I fully understand how frustrating that can be) and you must comment anonymously . . . leave a name in the comment section. Purely anonymous comments will be deleted.
2) Comments I deem to be offensive, irrelevant, or generally trollish will be deleted. I'm mainly talking to the Akurians here. Don't make me get out my flag!
3) If you would like to receive e-mail notification of other comments so you can more easily follow a conversation (yeah, like I ever have those on this blog), you must register with Blogger. Sorry . . . I didn't have anything to do with that one.
Enjoy the game.

Once, one of my teacehrs described Fuller Theological Seminary in California by noting that "out there, they have more evangelicals than there are people."
He could, of course, havve added "per capita."
Gotta love those conversational gaffes.
BTW, we Wyomingites are the least dense people in the nation; only 5 or so of us per square mile.
But I still think we have the same ratio of people per capita as anywhere else...1:1.
Your neighbor to the south,

That would be Lisa.
