Epiphany Sermon

We three kings of Orient are
left the words to a sermon afar . . .

Yeah, after working on my Epiphany sermon Thursday up in VC (where I do all my sermon work), I walked out of the office without. Not that I ever actually use the manuscript when I preach, but I do like to know what I want to say.

So yesterday at the Food Bank (see Mrs. Ref's post), I sat down and put down on paper what I remember what I wanted to say.

Something about all nations drawing near (from Isaiah); the wise men offering their three gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh; and us offering our own three gifts of time, talent and treasure.

Yeah, something like that. Actual sermon to be posted later today, and actual words may vary.
