A goodbye

My summer organist, Dave Calendine, had his last Sunday with us yesterday. The church in VC gave him a good send-off and then we had him over for dinner.

About now (7:30 a.m.) he's either doing the last minute packing or just hitting the road back to Detroit and his real job at the Fox Theater.

This post was interrupted by a fire call. I spent my morning hiking up and around the mountains fighting a small lightning-strike fire.
