Another indication of how things are different here

Not really sure how to classify this other than it was an everyday normal conversation:

I was getting my hair cut yesterday and chatting with the . . . stylist . . . She was the only hair cutter person in town when we moved here. We hadn't been here too long when Mrs. Ref went to get her hair cut. I mentioned that I was going to have to find the local barber, to which she responded, "I'm him."

So I'm in there getting all beautified and she starts telling me how her oldest son got up to feed the animals on Saturday and found a relatively fresh lion track. So he ran into the house, got his younger brother out of bed and dressed, grabbed his dog and went tracking. They came across another set of tracks and the dog got confused and ended up barking up a tree where the lion must have spent the night.

"And as they were going out the house, I heard T say, ' . . . and if it's a small one, you shoot it, that way I'll still have my tag.'"
