Holy Week went well, I thought.
You can read all about it in previous posts, so I won't reiterate all that. And after Easter service and the obligatory nap, the family went out to see "How To Train Your Dragon," which was really very good.
Monday and Tuesday are my annual post-Holy Week days off. Monday I took The Boy for his follow up visit regarding his broken collar bone. The bad news is that I forgot the appointment was in Twin, so we got a late start and didn't get home until about noon. The good news is that I got my blood drawn for a free check up (one good thing about being on the VFD), and his collar bone is healing nicely.
Tuesday I pretty much spent the day on the couch reading and napping.
But that means that I've got a short week to work with. So I got hymns laid out for Easter, Emily programmed for Sunday, sermon thoughts organized for Sunday (because I'm preaching on the Second Sunday of Easter for the first time in about four years -- I've been lucky enough to schedule visiting speakers after the short week). Met with my CC treasurer since she wasn't at service Easter (sick family) and won't be there this coming Sunday (fiddle contest in Spokane), called the diocesan office and made a hospitable visit where I lost a game of cribbage.
And tonight it's back to the bar. Yep . . . No rest for the wicked.

A Few Words About Comments
Comments are always welcome here, but there are a few things you should know:
1) If you comment, leave a name. If you can't figure out how to log in or register or whatever the system is making you do (which, believe me, I fully understand how frustrating that can be) and you must comment anonymously . . . leave a name in the comment section. Purely anonymous comments will be deleted.
2) Comments I deem to be offensive, irrelevant, or generally trollish will be deleted. I'm mainly talking to the Akurians here. Don't make me get out my flag!
3) If you would like to receive e-mail notification of other comments so you can more easily follow a conversation (yeah, like I ever have those on this blog), you must register with Blogger. Sorry . . . I didn't have anything to do with that one.
Enjoy the game.
