Sometimes computers do things I just don't understand . . . well, okay . . . A LOT of times computers do things I don't understand. Usually, though, if I think it through I will at least figure out why I think they do things wrong.
Today, however, my computer is doing something that just doesn't make sense no matter how much I think about it.
Over the weekend I had reason to peruse a certain diocese's web page and saw that they are down to the short list of candidates for their next bishop. As it turns out, I know of of the candidates from way back when. He was a priest in my former diocese before I was married.
So I was going to send him a, "Hey, long time no see and prayers for you in the process" type of e-mail. He happens to be on staff at diocesan offices, so I found his e-mail which (for purposes of this blog) is priestdude@diocese.org. I copied the address and pasted it into the "TO:" field of my e-mail. And I got THIS:
gro.esecoid@edudtseirp
Um . . . Maybe it was because when I copied it, I highlighted the address from right to left.
Nope.
Anyone have an explanation for this reverse paste?

A Few Words About Comments
Comments are always welcome here, but there are a few things you should know:
1) If you comment, leave a name. If you can't figure out how to log in or register or whatever the system is making you do (which, believe me, I fully understand how frustrating that can be) and you must comment anonymously . . . leave a name in the comment section. Purely anonymous comments will be deleted.
2) Comments I deem to be offensive, irrelevant, or generally trollish will be deleted. I'm mainly talking to the Akurians here. Don't make me get out my flag!
3) If you would like to receive e-mail notification of other comments so you can more easily follow a conversation (yeah, like I ever have those on this blog), you must register with Blogger. Sorry . . . I didn't have anything to do with that one.
Enjoy the game.
