Jasmund National Park

Today we went to Jasmund National Park. It's about 2 to 2-1/2 hours from our host's home in Boitin. Like all National Parks, it's too big to capture in a blog post, but the most famous part of it looks like this.

Those are the chalk cliffs which are constantly deteriorating and falling into the Baltic Sea. Bummer for us we didn't get to see anything actually fall, but we did pick up several very cool rocks to slip into our suitcases home.

We hiked about 12 km (we figured), climbed many stairs (Mrs. Ref says 239, but since we only counted one way, you probably need to increase it by a bit), collected many rocks, and took several pictures. Mrs. Ref says she'll post tomorrow.

And now I'm having a spot of something warm, maybe a little bedtime snack, and off to bed.

Tomorrow is all on our own, as the real people need to work. We'll see how that goes, as they've allowed us to play with the washer and dryer.
