And in other news, Peyton Manning has apparently chosen to play for the Denver Broncos.
I find this a little surprising, but not overly, and very . . . helpful.
A little surprising in that, as a Bronco, he will be playing the vast majority of his games outside. We'll see how well his penchant for precision translates from a controlled climate into the natural elements. I thought maybe Arizona might have been a better fit, but they re-signed Kevin Kolb recently.
Not overly in that the Broncos seem to have a good core to work with and a fairly decent defense.
And helpful in that he didn't choose to play for San Francisco. Had he gone there, my Seattle Seahawks would have had to face him twice every year. The Hawks now have a much better chance at being playoff bound, especially since they just signed Matt Flynn; after all, the last backup quarterback from Green Bay that they signed worked out pretty darn well.

A Few Words About Comments
Comments are always welcome here, but there are a few things you should know:
1) If you comment, leave a name. If you can't figure out how to log in or register or whatever the system is making you do (which, believe me, I fully understand how frustrating that can be) and you must comment anonymously . . . leave a name in the comment section. Purely anonymous comments will be deleted.
2) Comments I deem to be offensive, irrelevant, or generally trollish will be deleted. I'm mainly talking to the Akurians here. Don't make me get out my flag!
3) If you would like to receive e-mail notification of other comments so you can more easily follow a conversation (yeah, like I ever have those on this blog), you must register with Blogger. Sorry . . . I didn't have anything to do with that one.
Enjoy the game.

Poor Tebow must be feeling a bit of whiplash, after the way they fawned over him and now, BAM, dropped like yesterday's news. I have heard some interesting rumblings that New England may ask to meet with him. I am intrigued...
Yeah, I'm hearing that, too. Mainly because they have Brady and the likelihood of a QB controversy is about as likely as finding pigs in space.
