That's what the bank reader board said the temperature was when I walked over there to deposit Mrs. Ref's first paycheck from the new job.

A Few Words About Comments
Comments are always welcome here, but there are a few things you should know:
1) If you comment, leave a name. If you can't figure out how to log in or register or whatever the system is making you do (which, believe me, I fully understand how frustrating that can be) and you must comment anonymously . . . leave a name in the comment section. Purely anonymous comments will be deleted.
2) Comments I deem to be offensive, irrelevant, or generally trollish will be deleted. I'm mainly talking to the Akurians here. Don't make me get out my flag!
3) If you would like to receive e-mail notification of other comments so you can more easily follow a conversation (yeah, like I ever have those on this blog), you must register with Blogger. Sorry . . . I didn't have anything to do with that one.
Enjoy the game.

Welcome to my world!
The Vagabond was wondering when your season would be starting up again! Good luck- and I hope the ref shirts are well ventilated!
The heat (oh, my lawd, the heat, the heat, which wouldn't have phased me in VIrginia but is killing me out here) has me worried since I don't need to train in heat for my September event!
Lady Anne: Gee, thanks. People in our former home town are talking about starting to feel that "fall nip" in the air.
Vagabond: Season starts August 31. We have an onfield clinic Sunday night - mandatory for people with <5 years experience, recommended for all others. And we have a daylong jamboree on Saturday, the 25th. Problem is, I'll be on the road taking The Kid to college back in MO for both of those. So my first time on the field will be a game. Not an ideal way to start the season, but it is what it is. Hopefully I won't do anything glaringly wrong.
