Sermonizing

I worked on my sermon very diligently this past week because I was going to be out of the office all day Thursday.  I wanted to make sure it was finished before I left for the day on Wednesday.

It was.

And then someone at the meeting said something that made me go, "Oh . . ."

So now I'm debating on whether or not to trash the original sermon and preach the new one that's rattling around in my head.

I"m generally in favor of listening when the Holy Spirit speaks. Which I realize is much easier on a Monday than a Saturday (or, God help us all, on the thankfully rare pre-dawn Sunday morning). But there it is.
