Game Day

I have been waiting for today since about 9 p.m. on February 3.

Today is pretty much a typical Friday -- laundry, bike ride, checkbook, lunch with Mrs. Ref, etc. -- except today I get to add "Game Day."

So besides the regular stuff, I am also preparing for a double header (JV game this afternoon, with the varsity game at 7).  I'm packing my back, checking it twice, making sure I've got gear for both games and clothes for afterward.  I am generally not paranoid, but my biggest fear is showing up without a piece of equipment.  So I go through it all several times.  I've got one shirt in the dryer, and then I'll be set.
