JURY DUTY . . . . TAKE 2

I came home for lunch today, a usual activity for a Monday (or a Wednesday for that matter). We decided to make grilled tuna sandwiches -- yummy!

So I'm over at the grill working on lunch, and suddenly I hear, "OH ***T!!! I've got jury duty for a FLIPPING YEAR!!!!!"

"What??"

Sure enough, after actually looking at the dates, Mrs. Ref serves on the pool from July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006. Hoooh boy was she an unhappy camper.

I mentioned (in the comments section of my first jury duty post) that there are just over 7,000 people in my county. Jane figured that that would make the actual pool of people about 3,000.

I'm sure the county doesn't expect you to sit at home for a year waiting for a phone call.

And Mrs. Ref then started talking about a high-profile case that she might be eligible for.

I said it before, what's funny is her reaction to all of this. Storming around the kitchen, swearing like a drunken sailor, the only thing I could think to say was, "You're cute."

Not sure if it helped.
