HIGH MASS IN THE A.G. CHURCH
We finished convention today with an ordination service. There were six people being diaconated today. It was very cool. And all of the clergy in the diocese were present, so it was a big to-do.
The convention was held in Miles City this year, and had to be held in the Assembly of God. For those of you who don't know, Miles City is the capital of West Dakota. It's WAY out there. Anyway, it was held in the A.G. church for a couple of reasons. 1) The other place rescinded, 2) it's the only other place big enough. So, thanks to the A.G. congregation for offering up their building and also holding their Sunday services in the Episcopal church so we could do our thing.
As we were standing around waiting for the service to begin, more than one of us wondered what would happen if a stray A.G. person walked in and saw us all dressed up. Got to admit though that we actually matched the building decor. They've done their pews and carpeting in red, so it was perfect for an ordination.
The ordination went well. We even used incense. HA! Imagine that -- a high mass with incense (I know, redundant) in an A.G. church, and the roof didn't cave in. I'd love to be there tomorrow when their staff comes in and tries to figure out what "that smell" is.

A Few Words About Comments
Comments are always welcome here, but there are a few things you should know:
1) If you comment, leave a name. If you can't figure out how to log in or register or whatever the system is making you do (which, believe me, I fully understand how frustrating that can be) and you must comment anonymously . . . leave a name in the comment section. Purely anonymous comments will be deleted.
2) Comments I deem to be offensive, irrelevant, or generally trollish will be deleted. I'm mainly talking to the Akurians here. Don't make me get out my flag!
3) If you would like to receive e-mail notification of other comments so you can more easily follow a conversation (yeah, like I ever have those on this blog), you must register with Blogger. Sorry . . . I didn't have anything to do with that one.
Enjoy the game.

I pretty sure I knew some of those A.G. PK's - and their parents should have no problem identifying the smell of insense.
You might get a chance to see Miles City's football team playing in Dillon depending on which conference travels where for the playoffs.
