STORYTELLING WITH BP. DUVALL

One of the things I like about our convention are the various seminars we can attend when we aren't taking care of business.

This year, the retired bishop of the Central Gulf Coast, Bp. Duvall, visited and presented a seminar on "Storytelling." It was very good, and very funny. I think I would've like working with Bp. Duvall.

He pointed out that in the beginning, God spoke Hebrew. God later advanced to Southern after he learned better.

He also pointed out that words, and how we use them, are very important. For instance, when he told people he was into biblical storytelling they would sort of roll their eyes at him. So now he says that he's into "narrative theology."

Did I mention I liked Bp. Duvall?
