ONE BIG WELT
or maybe
A MILLION LITTLE WELTS

Okay ... that rash that developed Thursday night isn't going away. It's getting worse. And I itch like hell. Currently my legs and arms are the worst. And between my fingers. I can't sleep -- hence me hanging out on the computer at 2 am.

I'm calling my doctor in the morning. Oh wait, it is morning. I'm calling later in the morning.

Maybe I'm molting.

And for those of you looking for Sunday's sermon, there isn't one this week, or the next several weeks for that matter. Not that I didn't do one, it's just not conducive to sticking on the blog. Beginning with 1 Lent and going through 5 Lent, I'm giving an Instructed Eucharist at my two congregations. We've got a fair amount of newcomers to the churches, and I decided that this was a good time to sort of explain all of that "kneel down, stand up, sit down -- fight fight fight" Episcopal aerobics and symbolism stuff. The first one went well as we looked at some general history, the seasons of the year, and the service from the gathering to the lessons.

Regular sermon posting will commence on Palm Sunday. Until then, I'll let you know if I molt into something more attractive.

No doubt, get thee to a doctor! Those kinds of things drive me crazy! Hope they nail down the problem ASAP. Just a thought, did this spring up shortly after the furnace got fixed? Did something nasty get blown into the air? Just a thought.

And FYI, I actually check your blog each Monday (usually) but I don't always comment. But I'm here!
Peace

Molting, eh? "The song of the canary never varies; and when they're molting they're pretty revolting."

Defintely doctor time. Drop me a line, please, and let me know what comes of that.

How are you handling the instructed Eucharists? Did any of Joanne's stuff help?

I went to the doctor today. I got a steroid pack for the rash ... why do I have visions of Hans & Franz?? Anyway, got that as well as some meds for this persistent cough.

DYG: No -- the problem happened well after the furnace got fixed.

Mark: The first Instructed Eucharist went well, but there are some major differences in presentation styles that I didn't pick up on right away. That will be corrected next week. But generally speaking, it looks like it will be well received.
