THE LETTER
I had heard from a friend that the A.C.N. was sending letters out to Senior Wardens saying basically that the church was going to hell, the clergy were allowing this sad state of affairs, and it was their job to organize against this tragedy, reclaim the church over the forces of evil and, oh, by the way, we have a free video we want to send you that explains just how to do this.
Wow, that was a really long sentence ...
So yesterday we got one. I expect that there'll be another one at my second parish today.
I did not/will not pass on that letter to my Senior Warden. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to send for the video. On the one hand, it would be good to have to see it for myself and know exactly what's in it (even though I've heard enough to have a good idea). On the other hand, I really don't want to be a permanent member of the A.C.N. mailing list.
This does not mean that I'm ignoring it. We will be discussing the letter and the issue in the very near future; possibly tonight in VC and probably after Holy Week at CC.

A Few Words About Comments
Comments are always welcome here, but there are a few things you should know:
1) If you comment, leave a name. If you can't figure out how to log in or register or whatever the system is making you do (which, believe me, I fully understand how frustrating that can be) and you must comment anonymously . . . leave a name in the comment section. Purely anonymous comments will be deleted.
2) Comments I deem to be offensive, irrelevant, or generally trollish will be deleted. I'm mainly talking to the Akurians here. Don't make me get out my flag!
3) If you would like to receive e-mail notification of other comments so you can more easily follow a conversation (yeah, like I ever have those on this blog), you must register with Blogger. Sorry . . . I didn't have anything to do with that one.
Enjoy the game.

Congrats on joining the club. I'm not a member yet, but it probably is only a matter of time before the ACN remembers that Hawaii and Alaska exist.
The video is worth watching. You can, actually, watch it online, but I don't have the link at present. Google their home page, and you'll find it. It might take a while at dial-up speeds to view, but it beats ending up on their mailing list. And if that's too slow, ask a friend to download it and put it on CD.
For your viewing consideration:
You probably are supposed to be ordering Choose This Day . It has a very nice soundtrack infused with CCM.

Oh, and don't worry. No Bibles were damaged in its production.
