CONGRATULATIONS

To the Oregon State University Beavers. Their baseball team has just won the NCAA Div. I National Championship (for those who care, that's OSU's first athletic team victory since the 1961 Cross Country Championship).

Those who know me know that I am not a particular fan of baseball. Most of the time I tend to say, "Keep it close and let me know when it's the 8th inning; then I'll watch." However, I'm about all things PNW (except, of course, the Evil Empire), so I watched it.

Actually, I managed to tune in during the bottom of the 8th inning, 2 outs, tied at 2. Not a bad way to watch a baseball game.

So the Beavers won the championship ... that is very cool.
