SERMON, TRINITY SUNDAY

That title is really a misnomer, as there really wasn't a sermon today. For one thing, I didn't take time out from vacation to write one. For another, it's Trinity Sunday, and isn't that the traditional Sunday when seminarians preach?

Someone told me that my sermon be this: I believe in God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, God the undivided Trinity. Amen.

Not quite, but I did start with that. The rest of the sermon time was spent in a conversation with my parishioners about the Trinity, eggs, water, fingers and relationships.

I'm not sure if I cleared things up or confused people even more, but that's okay. And every once in awhile, it is kind of good to just ramble.
