QUESTIONS FROM A 7-YEAR OLD

We've had a family visit VC a couple of times now. They have a young daughter (who just had a birthday). She is very cute and, like my own daughter, very sure of herself. Being an only child must do that to kids.

After every service, I ask people if they have any questions about the readings or the sermon or anything else that caught their attention. Well, little Kasey had a question.

"What's the temperature in heaven."

"It's a perfect 72 degrees."

"Then why do the angels wear robes with long sleeves?"

"Because it helps keep them cool when they fly; and because nobody wants to see a naked angel."

Giggles followed and she left without anymore questions.

You forgot the most important things: Remember how impressive it looks to stand there, arms folded, hands tucked into the opposite sleeve. Very regal. Especially if you have those big sleeves like organists. They flourish nicely when you gesture.
