FOOTBALL!!!

Football season is here! I watched a couple of good college games last night ... well, one was good, the other was mostly good.

And today I am working my first game of the season. I hope I'm ready. No scrimmages. No pre-season meetings ... things are just a little "different" here in Big Sky.

And on top of that, the game is darn near in Idaho.

It's up in Thompson Falls, something like 4+ hours from home. The short story is that they couldn't get local officials, ended up calling Anaconda, who were a man short, called Dillon, got ahold of me, and I was free.

So ... I put my bag together and will be traveling for a game. I hope to be home before sunrise.

Will you please graduate to college football? Michigan could use some decent refs :)

Hope your league didn't upgrade (downgrade?) to the new NFL uniforms!

What? You don't like the Big 10 officials? At least they aren't the SEC (but I have to admit, they've gotten better ... still odd, but better).

And the SEC in general ... ish. What makes them so special that they are the only NCAA conference where the home team wears white and visitors wear dark jerseys? What's up with that?

And no ... we are still using the traditional stripes.
