Today was a fun little day. It was absolutely gorgeous in Seattle, which meant we had the perfect day to head downtown for some touristy-type fun.
We left Ref Parents house around10 or so and drove up to meet Ref Sister and Ref Brother-in-Law and their kid. From there we drove down to a place we could park for free and catch the bus into downtown. We went to the Seattle Center and I took the two younger girls up the Space Needle. Oy . . .
We had what was advertised as a "40 Minute Wait" for the elevator ride, but was more like sixty. The view from up top was fab since we had blue skies today. We were able to see the Olympics, the Cascades and Mt. Rainier, and (of course) downtown.
From there we caught a bus and went down to the Public Market. It was here that I "hit the wall," so to speak.
There's a reason I live in Montana. After dealing with people and lines and crowded buses and no food and more people crammed into more tiny spaces, I had about had it. I got snippy and wouldn't really have been upset had some deranged drug addict shot me. But that didn't happen. I found a quick bite to eat at the market and then just waited outside for everyone to get finished. Oh, the whole point of us being there was for our foreign exchange student to pick up some ingredients for a Korean meal (which she is busily working on as I type).
It was another bus ride back to the car and then a good two hours in the car while we dealt with the evening commute home.
Have I mentioned I'm glad I live in Montana?

A Few Words About Comments
Comments are always welcome here, but there are a few things you should know:
1) If you comment, leave a name. If you can't figure out how to log in or register or whatever the system is making you do (which, believe me, I fully understand how frustrating that can be) and you must comment anonymously . . . leave a name in the comment section. Purely anonymous comments will be deleted.
2) Comments I deem to be offensive, irrelevant, or generally trollish will be deleted. I'm mainly talking to the Akurians here. Don't make me get out my flag!
3) If you would like to receive e-mail notification of other comments so you can more easily follow a conversation (yeah, like I ever have those on this blog), you must register with Blogger. Sorry . . . I didn't have anything to do with that one.
Enjoy the game.
