So we have arrived back home after a whirlwind trip to central Washington.
Mrs. Ref's grandfather turns 90 this week, so there was a big party for him.
We drove straight through on Friday, with a stop in Spokane for lunch and some "shopping." The girls shopped while I got the car washed. It worked out rather well. We had dinner at the grandparent's house and met up with some family members.
Saturday was the party. Actually, it was more of an open house with too much cake and WAY too many mints. Mrs. Ref was told that 200 people were invited to this little shindig. She made 1200 mints. I think we have about 1000 left. Apparently they freeze for up to a month, so we're providing the mints for Easter brunch.
Got the place cleaned up and headed back to the house for a bit. Then it was off to the local pizza hang out for dinner. Abby's is the name of the place, and they've been in town for 42 years. Popular place, lots of people . . . think Chuck E. Cheese but without the organization.
Ish.
Anyway . . . then back home to bed. Up way too early to say goodbye to the Ref in-laws. After they left, we met up with the Ref parents for breakfast and then it was on the road again for home. About 2 hours into the trip, I suddenly had one of those incredibly bad, sinking feelings. Like something is terribly wrong and it's too late to do a damn thing about it.
Sure enough . . . I had managed to leave my cell phone at the grandparents' house. After a few calls and directing them through a search process, it was located. My brother-in-law will be mailing it to me tomorrow.
And we finally arrived home just about an hour ago. Unpack, wind down, and fall into bed hoping to be ready for tomorrow.

A Few Words About Comments
Comments are always welcome here, but there are a few things you should know:
1) If you comment, leave a name. If you can't figure out how to log in or register or whatever the system is making you do (which, believe me, I fully understand how frustrating that can be) and you must comment anonymously . . . leave a name in the comment section. Purely anonymous comments will be deleted.
2) Comments I deem to be offensive, irrelevant, or generally trollish will be deleted. I'm mainly talking to the Akurians here. Don't make me get out my flag!
3) If you would like to receive e-mail notification of other comments so you can more easily follow a conversation (yeah, like I ever have those on this blog), you must register with Blogger. Sorry . . . I didn't have anything to do with that one.
Enjoy the game.
