I'M NOT OCD, I'M JUST . . . ORGANIZED

I like schedules and structures. A favorite professor had as his mantra, "Structure is your friend." He was a good guy.

I like my shirts to hang the correct direction, segregated by color and style. I like the bills in my wallet to be organized properly. I like service to start on time. I like to conform to a schedule: up at 6:15, exercise, family up at 7, breakfast at 7:30, etc.

It's all my attempt at keeping chaos from reigning.

Well, so much for schedules. We are caring for a 7-year old boy and his 6-month old brother. Four people in the house. Bathroom space is more of a premium than ever. Bedtimes and sleeping spaces require me to ... adjust. Midnight feedings are now part of the deal.

This is why we only had one. Call me a coward, but The Kid doesn't mess up my schedule (for the most part). I will always be amazed at how people with multiple children survive without killing themselves, the kids or the spouse.

I am trying to cope. Only two more days . . . only two more days . . .
