STUFF

The funeral yesterday was nice. There were only a few liturgical hiccups, but nothing terribly egregious that made me twitch uncontrollably. The cathedral has a columbarium, and Donna's ashes were interred there. In order to seal the thing properly, a rubber mallet is used to close up her . . . space. One of my colleagues commented, "I bet it's been a long time since she's been hammered."

It was a good day.

Today I finished out the laundry, played tennis with The Kid, let her drive us home, finished my sermon and took Mrs. Ref out to dinner for her birthday.

The Kid is getting better at both tennis and driving. She'll be 14 next month. She's eligible to take driver's ed next January. Wow. Just . . . wow.

And the sermon is finished. Got it in just under the wire, but done is done. I'm preaching on Revelation. This should be interesting.

And now ... it's bedtime.

Peace, love and all that jazz.
