A GOOD DAY

It was a pretty good day here in SW MT. It was a little windy, but after some rain last night, and cooler temperatures, there was pretty much no smoke in the air; you could actually see the mountains. And the temperature has let us know that fall came yesterday.

I got a good jump on the sermon, so that always makes me feel good.

Came home and had meat loaf, creamed corn, salad and a glass of milk for dinner. Also came home to several voice mails on my cell (since it doesn't work in VC) -- got calls from my mom, my mother-in-law, my sister and a seminary classmate.

Later in the evening we had a gaggle of friends over for dessert which consisted of my favorite pie. And to top it all off, we opened gifts from our foreign exchange student. I managed to pick the right box (it had all the chocolate -- but I'm told I have to share). More specifically, she gave me an original German beer stein. Might have to take that with me when I go bar hopping.

So, yeah, it was a pretty good day all in all.
