And just in time for my bishop's visitation this weekend. That new "Episcopal Church Welcomes You" sign that I ordered back in October showed up Friday afternoon. I was extremely surprised. So I spent a good 30 minutes taking down the old one. It's hard to tell on the photos, but that old sign was attached to the post with steel rods that had been bent to hold it in place. It was a chore to unbend them enough to remove the sign.
Here are pictures of the Original Sign. It's sort of like playing Hocus Focus -- name at least one difference between the two shots.
And here are the pictures of the New Sign. Yes, I did check the spelling before I hung it up. Sorry for the distance, but I was getting a bad glare. You can click on the pic to see it better.
Oh, and I suppose I should tell you that I also received the new fair linen for the altar later that day. New paint job, new sign, new linen . . . the Bishop might think I'm doing something right here if I'm not careful.

Nice!
(And I caught the missing apostrophe.)
Glad to see you didn't opt for the alternate wording that was available for a while (still may be) "The Episcopal Church - We're here for you"
Makes me want to hurl.
Yeah .... the "You are welcome here" tagline was my idea.
Not too bad, if I do say so myself.
