We have probably the most corrupt administration in U.S. history.
We've killed thousands of Iraqi civilians and had thousands of our own troops killed in an illegal war.
We pour money hand over fist into that war but neglect our own citizens devastated by hurricane Katrina.
California wants to set higher emission and mileage standard for cars, but the federal government squashes that idea.
We claim to be the Light of Democracy to the world yet we maintain secret prisons of torture.
And now Senator Arlen Specter wants an inquiry into why the NFL destroyed the video evidence of the New England Patriots illegal spying on other teams.
I like football and all, but isn't there something a little more important that the Senator could pursue than what the NFL did with videotapes of the Patriots' opponents earlier in the season?

A Few Words About Comments
Comments are always welcome here, but there are a few things you should know:
1) If you comment, leave a name. If you can't figure out how to log in or register or whatever the system is making you do (which, believe me, I fully understand how frustrating that can be) and you must comment anonymously . . . leave a name in the comment section. Purely anonymous comments will be deleted.
2) Comments I deem to be offensive, irrelevant, or generally trollish will be deleted. I'm mainly talking to the Akurians here. Don't make me get out my flag!
3) If you would like to receive e-mail notification of other comments so you can more easily follow a conversation (yeah, like I ever have those on this blog), you must register with Blogger. Sorry . . . I didn't have anything to do with that one.
Enjoy the game.

I'm sure the troops in Iraq will be comforted that someone is overseeing important issues on the home front while they're out saving the world.
This irritates me to no end. Not because I am a Patriots fan but seriously, there are so many more important issues that need attention. I feel as if he's trying to put football under the same scrutiny as baseball, but for crying out loud! It was cheating at a game. Not abuse of steroids. They were found guilty, penalized and kept under watchful eye by Goodell. It's not like this affects the state of the country or something. Sheesh.
