Easter Egg hunting on 3 Easter

One of the issues of a liturgical church is educating its members that the church is made up of seasons. This isn't a problem during Advent or the Season after Pentecost (Ordinary Time), but it can be a little difficult during Christmas and, especially, Easter. Easter is a season that lasts 50 days. So, how can we keep that Easter joy alive for all that time? How can we let people know that Easter is one, long joyous feast and that, once Easter Day is passed, we don't jump to immediately thinking about Memorial Day?

One way is to do things that you would normally do on Easter Day at other times of the season. We held an Easter egg hunt on 3 Easter. The kids decorated and hid the eggs, and then supervised the adults. Here are a few pictures from that even last week. (Sorry I didn't get them up sooner, but I've been quite the busy priesty boy, what with clergy conference and house burnings and all . . .)

Finished!
