Legal

This morning, at 8 a.m., The Kid and I went to the local DMV office, took our written tests, and are now legal in the great state of OR.

The bad news is that it cost me $130.

The good news is that we were out of there in less than an hour, which means that Mrs. Ref can go get legal in less than an hour and still be into work on time on a day when she has the late shift.

The rest of the day was spent doing laundry, playing on the computer, and catching the first half of an Arena Football game. So pretty domestic all in all.

And exactly what did you get for $130? Is that the price of tags for the car for a year? Please don't tell me Oregon charges that much for two driver's licenses!

It costs $5 to take the written test and $60 for a new OR license; which amounts to $65/person for a new license. By the time Mrs. Ref gets hers, it will have cost us $195 for three drivers licenses.
