Bummer

I am 99.9% sure that I have worked my last game of the season.

That sentence came from two posts down.

The 0.1% just called. I was invited to work a playoff game this Saturday.

The details are: Saturday, 11/19, 1 p.m., Back Judge

The reality: It's the weekend of the Bishop's visitation and he's meeting with me and the vestry Saturday afternoon.

As much as I wanted to work the game, I had to turn it down.

The things I do for my bishop.

Is this the visit where you get to tell the bisop, "Thanks, but No Thanks"? Good luck!

No . . . this is where I tell the bishop, "I gave up a game for you."

Did you give it up for the Bishop or for God and Church...?

I gave it up for the Bishop. I had already blocked out every Thursday and Sunday for God and Church.
