So What's New?

Not much, really.

We had some visitors at church this past Sunday who found us via the internet. We don't have the greatest website, but it's apparently functional enough for people to find us. That's a good thing.

I thought I had officiated my last game this past Friday, but I was scheduled for one more this Friday. I don't have to pack everything up just yet.

I preached my first "hard" sermon on Sunday that actually went over well. Although I would have preferred not to have finished it at 10 p.m. the night before.

I spent all day Saturday being officially trained on how to prevent sexual misconduct in the church.

Between the game on Friday, an early morning and all day session Saturday, a late night finishing the sermon, and a full day on Sunday, I've managed to contract some disease or such that I'm trying desperately to stave off just enough to not be sick for that last game.

And we had a boatload of Trick-or-Treaters come by the house last night. Our landlord bought us four bags of Costco-sized candy to pass out. I asked her if it was overkill. Her response indicated that we might not have enough based on past history. Well, we didn't run out, but had I not rationed the stuff in the beginning we surely would have.

And that's about all that's new here.
