Well that's cool

My mom had surgery today. It was planned and everything seemed to go just fine.

My sister sent out an e-mail giving room number and phone number, and a link to the hospital's "Care Card" program.

They have a system to send internal get well cards to patients in that hospital. It's better than online Hallmark.

I love the idea of "Care Cards"! Most people don't stay in the hospital long enough anymore to even go visit them, never mind having the Post Office hand them a card. (I always put the recipient's home as the return address on cards, rather than my own. That way I'm fairly certain the card will eventually reach then.) Glad all went well with your mom's surgery.
